Are Your Video Auditions Working for You?

Work individually and as a group with professional award-winning
actor and acting coach Kenneth Kay on producing a winning audition video.

 

     Kenneth Kay (AEA/SAG-AFTRA/MFA) is a producer, director, actor & teacher with forty years of professional theatre experience and 300+ stage productions to his credit. When not acting or directing, Mr. Kay is a teaching professional with the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Professional Training Program and an Adjunct Professor with the Drama Department of Palm Beach Atlantic University. Of late, he has served as an Artist-in-Residence at BAK School of the Arts where he directed Spoon River Anthology. Other recent credits include directing a chilling new adaptation of The Scarlet Letter for PBA and playing featured roles in Frost/Nixon at the Maltz and in the pilot episode of HBO’s hit TV series, Ballers. 

     Dates and Times Offered: 

     Saturday, May 19: Part of All-Day, Tailor-Made Group and One-on-One Coaching 
                                    Workshops from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.    

     Sunday, May 21:    9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 

     Monday, May 22:   9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 

     Workshop Description: For a stage actor and for professional theatre companies, nothing beats a live audition; however, video auditions are now part of doing business.  If a company requests an  audition video from you, are you prepared to submit the best video audition possible?  Learn how to make a video that show you at your best. An audition of your choice will be video taped, and it will be played back for review and input.

     Requirements:  have a one-minute monologue memorized that is not the audition you'll do at FPTA 2018, and wear comfortable clothes. Please bring pencil and paper to take notes.
